Are you funny? Does that one guy at work think you're just
the most hilarious thing since sliced bread? Can you hold a pencil
or even use one of these new computers???
If you answered YES (or even MAYBE...) to one or more of the above
questions, please continue!
Just Laugh magazine is always looking for new talent to add to our already
impressive team and who knows, maybe you've got what it takes to
become one of us! Our contributing staff is comprised of some of
the best in the business and if you think you might be able to add to that,
we'd love to hear what you've got to say. What exactly are we looking
for???
Of course, we're also happy to hear about your favorite links, quotes,
jokes and other miscellaneous nonsense, but if you're looking to make regular
contributions, there's the list at this point. If, however, you do
or create something truly amazing which you think belongs in Just Laugh,
please let us know and we'd be happy to consider whatever it is you have
to offer.
Ok, so I actually do write a weekly humor column (or one of
the other items listed above)...how exactly do I go about submitting my
work to Just Laugh?
-
Please send all submissions to: submissions@justlaugh.com
-
Attach no more than three (3) samples of your work
-
Limit the size of your attachments to less than 100 KB each...if we want more, we'll ask!!!
-
Include links back to your website, anyone else that might already syndicate
your work and anything else you think we should know about...

Other Frequently Asked Questions About Submissions...
How much do you pay for submissions?
Well, in actual dollars, we're currently paying approximately
zilch (zippo, nadda, nothing) for each piece published.
That's not to say that we're not compensating our contributors - we
primarily offer exposure and advertising promotions as means of giving
back to those that make this magazine possible.
Point blank - if you're solely concerned about the almighty dollar,
then Just Laugh isn't the publication for you.
I'm new to all of this / I've never been published anywhere before.
Would you consider publishing my work?
Absolutely! One of the most rewarding aspects of this
job is being able to help out new folks and give them the exposure they
deserve, so don't be shy. Unlike other publications, we're actively
looking for outside talent and are always willing to listen to new ideas...
What sorts of guidelines pertain to new submissions?
A complete set of guidelines will be sent if/when we accept
your work, but as a general rule, try to stay under 1000 words and go easy
on the foul language. Plain text is also preferred. Oh yes,
and it should be funny, too!
Seriously, how much do you guys pay?
Even if we did pay, we choose not to work with annoying people.
If the day comes when we are able to start paying our contributors, it
will already be too late for you...
NOTE: If you want your submission to find the fastest route possible to our garbage can,
repeatedly ask about this issue.
My question isn't listed in the 'Frequently Asked Questions'...
Please direct any further inquiries to submissions@justlaugh.com
and we'll try to include them in the next copy.

Lastly, we should also mention that we're often looking for full-time
people to aid with the general operations of our website in staff positions.
Although these don't pay, either, if you're really interested in
getting into the swing of things, please contact us with your ideas and
we'll see what we can come up with. We're typically always looking
for a variety of graphic designers, freelance writers and other Internet
geeks, but as the list changes daily, drop us a line and we'll talk...
Thanks again for your interest in contributing to Just Laugh magazine!
We look forward to hearing from you soon...
NOTE: A quick bit concerning plagiarism -- we love
the classics as much as everyone else does, and we try our best to incorporate
these into our format, but there are certain guidelines that must be followed
in order to reprint copyrighted materials and unfortunately, simply retyping
them and changing the author isn't good enough. Please respect the
rights of others and don't bother submitting pieces that aren't original.
You'll only be bringing us all into a world of pain...
