Children Seek Reparations Over Hollow Chocolate Easter Bunnies

Huntsville, AL (Just Laugh) – On a day expected to be filled with playful fun and lots of chocolate as kids wake from their beds to hunt for the precious eggs and baskets left behind by the Easter Bunny, Easter Sunday proved to be a bit less magical for two sisters from Huntsville and now they’re looking for someone to step up and make things right.

Grace and Lizzy Wilder, ages 4 and 7 respectively, found themselves hurt and distraught after discovering that the impressive chocolate bunnies left in each of their Easter baskets were not solid chocolate at all, but in fact hollow and empty inside, therefore offering them a disappointing amount of chocolate compared to the larger appearance offered by the bunnies themselves.

“We were upset and embarrassed,” Lizzy Wilder spoke on behalf of herself and her younger sister. “A kid works hard all year long, putting away her toys and going to bed without any fuss, and what do we get for it? A couple of fake chocolate bunnies misrepresenting their weight in order to save the Easter Bunny a few bucks…”

“When you give someone chocolate, it should be chocolate all the way through – you wouldn’t give somebody a hollow dog or a hollow car,” Wilder reasoned with a steadfast determination in her eyes.

Asked what they’re seeking in recoupment for their sugar-coated shortchanging, the girls demanded chocolate bunnies of the same size and shape that they had received, but made instead of solid, high quality milk chocolate, in addition to fifteen miniature candy eggs a piece to account for emotional pain and suffering.
