Merchandise @ The Laugh Hole

Born a dirty Canadian with a sense of humor those around him could only
refer to as 'sick and twisted,' Norm has always been one of the few comedians
to push the envelope past it's furthest limits to get the laugh (even if
it never actually shows up!). Norm began his career as a stand-up
comedian in Ottawa, Canada, but soon moved to Los Angeles with hopes of
'making it big' and 'scoring with lots of chicks.' He soon found
himself writing for such television programs as Roseanne in addition to
continuing his stand-up career.
Early in 1993, Norm made his 'big break' by landing a spot on Saturday
Night Live, where he both had a chance to perfect some of his stand-up
characters and eventually found himself hosting their mock news program,
Weekend Update. Norm worked the SNL/Weekend Update gig for some three
years, coining many of his signatures phrases and establishing quite a
fan base, until a dispute with an NBC Executive ended his rein over the
role and eventually, forced him to leave Saturday Night Live completely.
Since his departure from SNL, Norm has starred in two feature length
films, along with a multitude of smaller bit parts. Dirty Work and
Screwed both gave Norm the opportunity to express his comedic genius and
uniquely dirty perspective, although the box offices themselves instantly
declared both movies humongous flops. He has also held roles in such
films as Dr. Dolittle, The Animal, Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo and others,
but his most successful spot after Saturday Night Live is without a doubt
his new sitcom on ABC.
Playing an ex-hockey player who has been forced to serve as a social
worker as part of a community service program, Norm has once again been
given the opportunity to shine as he makes light of such social problems
as alcoholism and suicide, all while carrying out his signature role of
doing absolutely nothing! With any luck, Norm will continue to stay
at the top of ABC's charts for years to come, and maybe we'll even see
a little bit of stand-up from him later on...
