Always ready to dish out extra-large servings of the rants on the latest
topics to face America, Dennis Miller has left even the most highly educated
of us lost in the woods as he lets go during his weekly talk show on HBO.
Originally signed in 1994, Dennis Miller Live has continued to win numerous
awards, including an Emmy shortly after the show began. To date,
Dennis Miller Live has aired over 170 episodes and featured such guests
as Jay Leno, Tom Hanks, Chevy Chase and Judge Mills Lane.
Dennis Miller was first exposed to the public as one of the original
anchors of Weekend Update on Saturday Night Live. After leaving SNL
to pursue his acting career, Dennis found himself in several films, including
Disclosure, The Net, Bordello of Blood and Murder at 1600, although he
always seemed to assume the role of the second-rate detective who ended
up dead twenty minutes into the show. He also found work in 2000
as an announcer for the NFL, but soon realized that his brand of humor
simply couldn't be appreciated by an audience that is most likely to be
found watching (or featured on) Cops during his critically-acclaimed HBO
show.
In addition to resuming his schedule with Dennis Miller Live on HBO
in 2001, Dennis can also be seen along side David Spade in
Joe Dirt.
