"This isn't what used to be here!"

Yeah, yeah - I know, but you were also used to a schedule that updated a little more regularly than, oh say, every six months, so work with me here, people...

For those of you who came here looking for a bit of an explanation as to where in the heck Just Laugh magazine has been all of these months, I'll be getting to that shortly. For anyone who's new to our site, well let's just say that it was all the rage about a year and a half ago - we hope to get back to that point some day, but in the meantime - enjoy our archives!

But back to our story - as you may have noticed, Just Laugh magazine has not updated in quite some time, and not because of a lack of content from our contributors - that's for sure! Nope, they've all been plugging along, doing their things, but the person who brings it all together around here (i.e. me) just hasn't had the time to bring it all together anymore. Believe me, I've tried to salvage the efforts on many occasions, but I've finally come to terms that at least for the time being, there aren't going to be many (Note that I said many, not any) updates around here for a while. Call it some time to focus on other things (i.e. paid work), call it a short term break - all I can say is that I'll be back as soon as I can.

In the meantime, in an effort to attempt to remain somewhat less than totally disconnected from this website, you will be seeing updates here and there - chances are I'll probably even establish a blog of some sort on here shortly so that you can follow this a little better. You might very well see Just Laugh grow into more of a community where others are encouraged to take the mike and entertain the crowd...I'm not really quite sure yet. Right off the bat, though, I can tell you that both the Joke Database and Just Laugh's Joke of the Day will be updating and mailing respectively once again very soon because I know that they were both very popular and it's an easy way to please the masses. :)

The rest will be determined by my imagination and that of anyone who would like to send in his or her suggestions, coupled with the amount of free time that I'm able to muster up for implementation, that is - of course! For the time being, however, we will not be accepting any submissions until a decision about the progress of the magazine itself is decided, so please either hold off or don't expect a reply back anytime soon - I will hold everything that comes in for when something does come about, but I make no promises at this point!
