In today's fancy age of high-tech gadgets and cyber-dating and electric cars, it's sometimes tough to find the simplicities in life that we once used to cherish: a walk in the park, an evening spent with friends and family, or even just a home-cooked meal. Well, thanks to one very special little lady, that hometown goodness that you crave from years ago is closer than you think...

Founded shortly after the dot-com boom (and following bust) of the 21st century, Mama's Hometown Cafe was created in an effort to keep that country-style cookin' alive and kicking, just in case the world got taken over by robots or something! Fortunately, that robot invasion never happened (or at least not yet...), but for some reason Mama just kept churning out those Gristle Cakes anyways. Quite possibly one of the most popular restaurants off of Route 4 near Albuquerque, travelers and tourists and residents alike continue to stop in to this day for some of the yummiest eatin's this side of McClain's Truck Stop.

Everybody's gotta eat, right?

Breakfast
served from 5:30 AM 'til 11:00 AM
Gristle Cakes A delicious array of hotcakes slathered in fresh maple syrple!
Turkey Vulture Surprise ...because anybody can fry chicken eggs! This wonderful assortment covers all the food groups from only two animals, believe it or not!
(choices may vary depending on weather and road conditions)
French Patriot Toast The same egg-and-bread combo you've always loved, just renamed so as to no longer be associated with those stinky, back-stabbing tree-huggers...
Piggy on the Run A donut or pastry of your choice with a cup of freshly-brewed coffee to go, perfect for those who risk our their lives to keep their our fair township safe!

Lunch
served from 10:30 AM 'til 10:00 PM
Chicken/Fish Sandwich, wih Mama's Famous Cheese Doodles Ned and Jed once argued for days about whether their favorite sandwich was the chicken or the fish, so Mama decided to end it once and for all and combine the two into one amazing new sandwich! (...and if you can make room in your belly, Mama's Famous Cheese Doodles are to die for...)
The Soup of the Day Covering everything from plain and boring tomato to rhubarb-asparagus creme, Mama's unique throw-it-all-in-and-let's-see-what-happens approach always churns out something memorable...
Italian Las-ag-na A scrumptuous mixture of noodles, cheese, and spaghetti sauce, just like them Italianoes used to do it!
Fillet 'o Meat Nobody's completely sure exactly what it is, but it's good eatin' all the same! House specialty, plus be sure to ask for Mama's Secret Sauce...
BBQ Bunny Burgers Crisp and juicy rabbits, straight out of the field and into our delicious barbecue sauce - once you go bunny, you'll never go back!

Dinner
served from 5:00 PM 'til 10:00 PM
Steak a la King This baby makes the classic meat from Uncle Buck look like table scraps! Straight off the cow and onto your plate (after making a trip to the grill, of course!), the size varies from gigantic to colossal with the only limiting factor being the size of the beast! If you can clean your plate, dinner's on us...
Chicken a la King Literally, if you ran into this bird on the streets before we introduced it to our broilers, it'd put your children's favorite television character, Big Bird, to shame! You'll definitely have something to eat for the next day with this one...
Salmon a la King The other pink meat, Mama brings the tantalizing wonders of the sea direct to your plate with an aquatic feast built for a king! Two humongous salmon fillets smothered in a zesty dolphin sauce, with just a hint of mint tartar - "It's like a hurricane of yummy in your mouth..."
The King's Obsession Platter After wondering why all of Mama's dinner dishes happened to use the word king in their titles, little cousin Joey convinced her that she should offer an alternative for those who can't make a decision. This tasty dish covers land, sea, and air (kinda) with a meal fit for, guess what - a king! Just make sure to leave room for one of Mama's favorite desserts!!!

Desserts
served all day long!
Warm Apple Pie Mama has been crafting the world's best pies long before that disgusting movie was even written, so grab a slice after dinner or take home an entire circle for the whole family! (what happens to it from there is your own damn business...)
Chocolate Fudge-Cicles Straight out of Willy Wonka, the roof of Mama's Hometown Cafe is actually made of real chocolate, resulting in some of the tastiest fudge-cicles you've ever, errr, tasted every winter!
Plain, Old Vanilla Ice Cream Hey, not everything on this menu has to be funny...
Marijuana Brownies It's common knowledge that Mama herself suffers from a mild case of Glacoma, but if you ask really nice, she just might share some of her "special" brownies with you!
Four-Cheese Cake Even though everybody seems to hold Sara Lee up on a pedistal, anyone can make a decent cheesecake with cream cheese! One day, however, Mama thought that she'd try something a little different and, mimicing one of the local pizza parlors, she just threw caution to the wind and decided to see how many kinds of cheese she could fit into the standard cheesecake. It turns out that the answer was four, but to find out which four, you'll have to order a piece for yourself!
Mystery-Chip Cookies Ever notice how many damn variations on chocolate chips there are now?! Well, Mama did one day and thus the Mystery Cookies were born! Some are vanilla, some are cinnamon, and some are even little rocks...she likes to keep us on our toes like that...but each one is made with lots of love, and butter, too. (not recommended for those with heart conditions or a weakened immune system)
